The Greater Rochester Martin Luther King Jr. Commission and Rochester Area Community Foundation are excited to invite you to the 2026 Juneteenth Festival, taking place June 19-20, 2026. This year’s theme, “Beloved Community,” honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of a society based on justice, equal opportunity, and love of one’s fellow human beings.
Juneteenth commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and celebrates the ongoing journey toward equality and justice. Our two-day festival has become a cornerstone event, bringing together thousands of community members for celebration, education, and unity.

Lunsford Educational Foundation invites you to come and be in full Harlem Renaissance fashion—from head to toe—celebrating the future of Black excellence, as we fund-raise for scholarships to better the lives of young men in our community.

October is Domestic Violence AwMonth
Willow Domestic Violence Center’s annual Walk With Willow fundraising event is a 1.1 miles family fun walk that leaves from the Stories of Strength mural on the Times Square Building, up Main St to Parcel 5, before looping back to the Times Square Building. The funds raised support survivors through Willow’s lifesaving programs and services.
Morehouse College Glee Club in Concert!
The Eta Rho Lambda Educational Foundation in conjunction with Eta Rho Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., will sponsor the Morehouse College Glee Club in concert in Rochester, as a fundraiser to support one of the oldest Historically Black College and University’s musical organizations. The all men’s Morehouse College Glee Club was formed at Atlanta’s Morehouse College in 1911 and has performed around the world. Proceeds from this concert will also assist the Eta Rho Lambda Chapter’s Educational Foundation for the purpose of increasing college scholarship funding for students in the Rochester community.
The concert will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, 7:00 pm at Asbury First United Methodist Church, 1050 East Avenue. It promises to be an evening of excellence.
